Tattoo and body piercing designs have become
increasingly popular in Western culture. For various reasons
it has become vogue to individualize our bodies with tattoos
and piercings.
Tattoos have been around for a long time and
only became popular in Western Culture since the middle of
the 20th century. For years tattoos were seen as symbols of
outlaws and tough guys. The end of the 20th century saw the
explosion of tattoos in popular culture. Today many youths
and adults are tattooed, many multiple times.
Body piercing followed and the devoutees of
piercings have morphed into a semi cult in many ways.
